GED ® The General Educational Development exam, or GED Test transitioned to computer-based format as of January 1, 2014.

The cost of $120 is for the four-test series. All previous test scores for any candidates that did not complete their GED prior to January 1, 2014, are no longer valid and the candidate must start from the beginning with the new test.

Testing Accommodations:

Illinois Nurse Aide Testing (CNA) The Illinois Nurse Aide Testing Program (CNA) at SIU/Carbondale is responsible for the written/computer based competency exam as required by the Illinois Department of Public Health.

Testing Messaging:

You must have your login ID and password to your INACE account, and your signed-photo ID.Plan to arrive at the Assessment Center(U203) at least 30 minutes early to verify testing credentials, present your signed-photo identification, sign in on the testing roster, and secure personal belongings not allowed in the testing room in one of our secure lockers. Please note, if you arrive 15 minutes after the designated start time of the test, you will not be allowed entry into the testing room and will need to reschedule.If you are unable to sign into your account, you will need to leave and reschedule your exam. Proctoring Services The Assessment Center offers proctoring services for students who need to have an authorized individual administer and supervise an exam under secure conditions.

Policies and Fees

These include the need to verify the identity of every test-taker, to keep all testing materials secure, and to administer exams under conditions that are conducive for every test-taker to perform to the best of his or her ability. All individuals are required to show a valid photo ID (such as a driver鈥檚 license) and to follow all Assessment Center rules (such as turning off and turning in your cell phone and any other electronic devices).
